The Try a Skill event targets Central Coast High School Students from years 10-12 as well as early school leavers associated with job active providers to allow them free access to the opportunity to be able to gain ‘hands on’ experience across a diverse range of vocations and trades. Those in attendance on the day will not only have the opportunity to speak with various industry professionals but will also be left with a more intense understanding of what the sector involves – separating this event and making it one of a kind for our local Central Coast youth!
The 19th Annual Central Coast Career Pathways Expo is the biggest in the region, attracting over 3,500 local students from years 10–12 and over 200 exhibitors from all over NSW! Students get the chance to discuss potential careers, alternative career pathways as well as gain information about any other courses or jobs that might spark their interest!
The Central Coast Apprenticeship & Traineeship Advisory Committee represents the VET community on the Central Coast and hosts the Awards Night in June each year in conjunction with Training Services NSW who provide funding and Local Sponsors.
As the premier awards for vocational education and training (VET) in NSW, the Awards are a great way to receive recognition for the effort that individuals, employer and training organisations put into VET.
